The Town of Santee, located right on I-95 in South Carolina, attracts about 100,000 visitors annually, but not all come for just the golf!  Our small town is located on the south shore of the majestic Lake Marion, the largest freshwater lake in South Carolina. Connected to Lake Moultrie to the southeast these two bodies of water allow boaters to travel from Santee to Charleston. These 2 lakes have accounted for many State and World fish records!

Santee is blessed to have a trifecta of great golf courses, Lake Marion, Santee National and the Santee Cooper Country Club within 5 minutes of pretty much any place in Town that you might be staying. There are four more courses within 20 minutes and another 10 or so within 45 minutes.

The courses, Lake Marion, Santee Cooper Resort and Santee National are all within one mile of each other. These courses keep getting better with age with each offering their own unique qualities. Lake Marion’s wide fairways and challenging greens, Santee Cooper Resort’s course set amid a parkland landscape, and Santee National with its rolling fairways and slick greens. There are five additional courses on the north side of Lake Marion; all within 20 – 25 minutes of Santee. If you care to venture up to 45 minutes away, you will have a choice of another six to seven courses near the community of Summerville, South Carolina.
